So far, the predominant reaction I've seen from native Londoners to this news is that Sadiq Khan is doing this as a smokescreen to distract from how unpopular he apparently is as the Mayor of London.

It'd be great for Wrestlmania in the UK but that Saudi money will be awfully tempting to the WWE and the UK won't be able to match that

London inhabitant here: only issue- WWE will have to pay to run Wembley (having us being taxed to run it will be political suicide, especially in our cost of living crisis)

Plus: there are a few big sporting events going on around April time (FA Cup Semis)
