The 3rd home was really beautiful. It didn't look as spacious as the other two but it had a nice price, was fully updated and turn-key, and no work needed to be done. It's a good starter home.

I live right near these units and toured a few. The second floor ones have creaky floors, can only imagine what the first floor noise is like. The common entrance halls tend to be a bit dingy, too. The 3rd unit renovations were nice at least.

As someone in the comments said, 200-300K won't get you much in this area unfortunately.

I guess, saying half a million, sounds better than saying, 500, 000, but I took home after the State stole as tax. In my book, not a real lottery winner, just a small win in the lottery. Still, I guess, if I won that and lived anywhere other than Austria, I'd also buy a house with it. In Austria you could buy a garden shed with that amount. IF you could afford a garden, which is rare. Still, at least everywhere else other than America, lottery winnings are tax free!

I would never want to buy a townhome or condo. Too much out of your control as to what happens and what they allow you to do. And if I did I would never go on the ground floor due to neighbors making too much noise above.
