Why bother with MS Drugs? This video footage was originally recored during a 1.2hr long live stream I held on MS disease modifying therapies. Based on viewer suggestions, I've chopped up the content from the livestream into two "easily digestible" videos.

Good morning Dr B! Excellent video. Goals have been met and surpassed thanks to Lemtrada. Which were going up and down stairs, walking unassisted (walker/cane) walking longer periods of time and just saying yes to things i thought I may not be able to do again. Never give in, never give up, never fold.

Sigh. I was diagnosed 3/8/18 after a devastating attack. The lesions hit my frontal lobe and optic nerve; I remain blind in my left eye and was permanently removed from my beloved teaching career due to the damage to my executive functioning. At this point, my goal is to figure out some achievable goals as I literally lost most of the things I cared deeply about. I have worked on fundamental goals: protecting my marriage, being 4 for 4, losing weight, learning about this disease, and exercising more. They are all important but I really need to find something to feed my soul like teaching did. I guess that is my goal; find something to feed my soul and give me a sense of purpose.

I wanna recover my autonomy. I want to be able to walk without a cane or walker and go back to work. 😔

I have a horrible time explaining this to people. It’s not easy for most to comprehend that my PPMS won’t “get better” and my symptoms won’t stop. I’m working to slow the progression down.

Super video Dr - As Calvin says, we tend to have very small goals, after we see ourselves taking assistance frequently from carers, lose our jobs, lose enthusiasm in life. Thanks for setting context, Major life goal is find a meaning in life

Dr. Boster again another great video.
And thank you on behalf of all of us in the village.
My life goals on as you say (birth control) would certainly be to continue the ability to see, walk independently, and drive as I know I am very fortunate to be able to do so. My heart bleeds for others that do not have these abilities.
I also would like to see my two wonderful grandchildren graduate high school.

This weekend, I became a Great Auntie for the first time.

In the next 5 years, I would like to be able walk and play in the park/playground with my G. Niece.

In the next 6 months, my goal is to complete my Masters and walk independently at my graduation.

This week, my goal is to manage my fatigue, and establish an effective work-life-study balance...

...and learn what Great Aunties do! 🤔

Hi, always a phenomenal vlog chock full of information filled with human point of views. I was A type personality, with a bit of OCD. I can't control you MS, I don't want to be on any medication but it is necessary! I want to walk in a straight line daily, not forget why I left the garage open or words in a conversation, say no to an outing, go back to my job, take my kiddo outside on a hot sunny day without getting sick, etc. It's nice to be in a village that cares & relates. Thanks Dr.B!!

Dr. Boster, this video channel has been so helpful to me as I have been undergoing tests and learning as much as possible about MS before I see my doctor again. I am totally on board with medications and understand the crucial role they are going to play, but have to say I am one of those who reads the fine print on the drug inserts. The resource I am looking at lists some pretty serious side effects/risks for most of the medications which is a bit sobering. Looking forward to discussing all of this with my doctor this week. It is reassuring to read comments from people taking different medications.
