Drivers for Tascam US-122L OSX Lion & Mountain Lion

Recently Tascam Finally made Drivers and firmware for The US-122L Audio Interface so its compatible with Apple's OSX Lion and Mountain Lion operating system! For years I had this audio interface and had nothing but problems getting it to work with windows and Mac but finally Tascam did the honorable thing of making software to make this thing actually work....The US-122L actually is a quality piece of Hardware with solid PreAmp's and good sound quality if you have one of these interfaces and dont feel like spending money on a "New" Audio interface Id suggest you go to Tascam's website and Download these Drivers!

I just bought the us -122 (not the L or the mark 2). I can’t get it to work on my 2012 Mac mini . Tried some of the drivers from their website but it won’t install properly. Any ideas?

Does tascam 122L work with os x yosemite? Thats what I have on my mac its older?

Gooday my brother i have a question my tascam us-122mkii audio interface connecting to imac2011 and im using it to live streaming via streamyard ive already downloaded the driver it works but theres a noise soud out in the microphone, is there a problem in my driver compatibility my wires is ok then can you give me a drawing connection also if iits okay my brother i dont know if my connection also is not the right connection going to live pls my brother if you can help me thank you so much

Hi. Thanks for this. The only problem I find with the us122l is that it doesn't work with the guitar input, only with the line in input to record guitar. Not sure if you have the same problem? Thanks for the advice

Hello. Thanks for the video, very helpful indeed. Do you guys can control the sound manually via keyboard? Cause after I downloaded the latest version of this software, strangely it doesn't allow me to control the sound via keyboard nor manually on the hardware. I'm a mountain lion by the way.

Hey thanx for that I thought me us-122l audio interface were past it's use by date,
Which were a shame as I had always thought this interface in particular as a comparison has by far superior features and quality to that of say an MBox mini third gen and hadn't used since when I basically first started producing on my troublesome vista piece of crap lap top a few years back now running cubase LE,

Had only just previously before watching your vid only just upgraded one of my macs to Yosemite OS which honestly seems to have a smoother flow to it than Lion to which I were finally persuaded by means of the new and improved VLC media player,

But would be great to see some time in the possible near future Tascam perhaps do the same again with Yosimite so then I could just go all out an upgrade or update everything together,

As now this is the only thing that is really stopping me from doing so,

It's great having this unit back in action and is personally I seem to think by far a more stable sound card than the unpredictable buzzy now and then MBOX 3rd gen even though it is not compatible with the more than often glitchy ridden pro tools software itself,

Which really is more a shame than a loss on avids part as it were still a nice software to use when it worked which is why I don't care for it much nows anyways

Hello, I bought a mac with a yosemite OS. I'm not sure my US 122 L will mork with it ! I don't find the driver on the constructor web site, do you have further information about that point ? Thks guys !

i have a mac book pro and the interface doesn't pop up in my system preferences does anyone know why?

I had the same problem I think. Got the unit hooked up to mac via USB. Plugged bass into the Line/Guitar In R hole, just got the normal built in speakers as output, so I didn't change that setting.

When I play the bass, it registers on the mac, but no sound. Anyone know why that is?

At first it didn't even register in GarageBand, then I realised that you must make a new track, select real instrument, but MAKE SURE Input source is on Mono 2 if you're using the right-hand input on the unit.

Ryan bonner the reality is this unit that being the tascam bus 122L is a great piece of hardware that has very nice pre amps and produces high quality audio ..The reality is there is no reason for tascam to update the drivers for newer versions of OS X such as Mavericks Yosemite etc. The reality is tascam has such a huge product line that they seem to want to push newer hardware such as audio interface and the way they do this with out "canabilizing" the market is by purposely no updating drivers and firmware so they can continue to make and sell new products which is shame because like what is aid early this unit and many like are if go quality and can be put to good use... Though I must say if you are a windows user it will work on windows 7 with out any issue and if your running parallels on Mac maybe you will be able to run this unit that way.
