Andra Day ❤❤❤. First and foremost, I have enjoyed your vocal talent since day one. I first heard you duet w/ Stevie Wonder on "Someday at Christmas". I knew then that you had something in that beautiful voice which needed to develop and expand far beyond that. I was completely floored (kid you not), when you sang and performed one of my all-time favorite singers Ms. Billy Holiday. A performance which really should have awarded you for Oscar for vocals alone. To have captured the essence of one history's most iconic figures was a very challenging accomplishment. You rose to the occasion! Though you did not win, neither did Diana Ross in her 1972/73 performance only shows the narrow mindedness of the powers that be.
In my mind, you were and still are a winner in many respects. Here in "Probably", I hear the purely heartfelt qualities of your talent and craft. I hear glimmers of long forgotten female artists coupled with something very new and amazingly pleasing. I listened to your high notes and again was floored on how you belted them and leaned on those notes which said: sang girl girl. Ms. Day you are an amazing talent and I can not wait to hear more of you. Love you Andra Day ❤❤❤❤❤❤
