Apply the same thing you learned for the triangles, flip it and make a parallelogram with it and divide it by two.. It's much easier. Base A + Base B * Height / 2

I just found your YouTube channel and I respect you so much for how you teach math. I appreciate the review before jumping into the main teaching and I appreciate the history information of how the formula came to be established. I also appreciate the illustrations and how you show each step. So much explaining; SO GREAT! I also appreciate you showing both kinds of formulas. Your teaching style is encouraging, helpful, and enjoyable! I am an educated teacher for K-12, with my specialty in Elementary Education. After graduating my husband and I became parents. We decided to homeschool our children. I was never strong in mathematics. So, as my son progresses in his mathematics, I need more supplemental ways to help him. Thanks to you and your channel we will be more successful in helping him become knowledgeable in math. Hopefully, he will begin to love math again.
