Saturn and Beyond - PBS Documentary - 1981

In August of 1981, I hosted the PBS documentary "Saturn and Beyond" that was produced by KCET in Los Angeles, the same space and studios where Carl Sagan produced "Cosmos" the year before.

Sagan and I had recorded a live interview when the Voyager II encountered Saturn just days earlier. This is the produced documentary that incorporates that classic interview into it.

As a sidebar, after Sagan recorded his part, I escorted him out to the PBS parking lot where he and I engaged in a 20 minute discussion (debate?) about the likelihood that alien life might not just be "out there" as he had speculated, but actually "right here" based on continuing UFO reports. I only wish that 20 minutes had been recorded for posterity.
