It's so ironic that missionaries have always come to Native communities trying to teach about God when people around the world have known the Creator since time immemorial. We have so much to learn from each other if we are open to receiving instead of attempting to force our beliefs on to others.

I'm Navajo and Hopi. Our teachings all the same. Get up early, say your prayers and give blessings. 😊

I am an avid follower of your channel and this is such a timely message. Not only is there one Creator, Great Spirit or God, but you point out something most people miss. If you react to evil in a spirit of vengeance, you feed that evil and grow it. You do not rectify an evil by wishing or bestowing evil on the perpetrator. My mom always said we should pray an evil person out of our lives and into a place where they no longer feel the need to be evil, and can become whole again. Thomas Szasz told in a talk, "sometimes the lesser of 2 evils is your best and only choice; but let us never forget that the lesser of 2 evils is still, in fact, evil."

There are great lessons to be learned and applied to life from our indigenous American brothers & sisters' spirituality. I am Christian but I have heard God's voice speaking through great Indigenous American spiritual thinkers as well.

I am a Christ follower. This is more consistent with our teachings than most of the ones I know personally, are aware of. I love hearing Truth 🙏even when it's painful to hear.

This mirrors the biblical teaching of the fall of lucifer. I really love the dine. I did a mission trip with the church when i was 17 to a dine reservation. They are wonderful people and showed us great hospitality. Even let us go to a sacred place on top of a plateu and everyones hair stood straight up with no lightning storm in the area. One if the wildest experiences ive ever had. They also told us of 6 fingered red haired giants tgat used to exist in the ancient times

I'm right there with you. I don't like to talk about the evil one, who also has a name in my faith. I was taught and know it's true that talking about him gives attention to him. I also agree that turning someone or a people over to him is a very serious thing, most certainly not to be taken lightly and something that I don't feel is my place to do. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and the ways of your people. May the Great Spirit bless and guide you always.

My husband passed away suddenly a few years ago. He was Lakota. He always believed in The Great Spirit and on his death bed he accepted Jesus into his heart. With my own eyes I saw his countenance changed. He found peace with Jesus not religion. Native Americans are a very spiritual people and my husband knew he was going to The Great Spirit through Jesus.

I think the native american culture is a culture of wisdom. Being raised in the western civilisation I feel like my spiritual connection was disconnected somehow during my childhood. That's how I feel. I had a distinct spiritual bond with my maori grandmother. She passed away when I was 10yo.
