MOTU Origins Anti-Eternia He-Man and Clawful Review

Thanks for the nice review. 
I was able to get both waves 7 and 8 from target's website except for the Sun Man figure which still is on pre-order everywhere. I loved all of them, and they turned out great especially in hands. I'm loving and enjoying this line more than I should to be honest. Let's just hope they keep improving on it and keep releasing more units other than just the awesome figures. By now we need another playset (or two) and at least 3 more vehicles and beasts.

I already have Clawful from Club Grayskull so I'm going to pass on him for the time being but I did pre-order Anti-Eternia He-Man and can't wait. I'm not all that attached to the figure, but that card art is spectacular so I'm just going to leave him packaged. And my Sun Man should be here Tuesday! Thanks for letting me know about the delay of the standard version, I bought one of those too to open and display and thought we'd be getting him pretty soon. Oh well. But can't be disappointed because there's just so much awesome MOTU happening right now!

I remember as a kid that I used to have the original Clawful along with other characters in a MOTU carrying case, until my stupid older brother decided that I had outgrown them and gave them away to a bratty nephew of mine. I can only imagine what he did with them, I wish I could have kept them, they'd be worth a fortune now.

I can't comment on the mini comic with the figure as I've yet to open my Anti Eternia He-Man, but he was the main villain in the "He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse" comic from a few years back. I won't say too much in case you plan to read it, but it was pretty brutal in places as well. That said, I believe in the original cassette tapes and some artwork I've seen, his harness is harness is red rather than black and I have to say, I prefer that approach to the direction Mattel took. While I like the fact the Origins figure has more red on him than previous figures Mattel has made, and agree it looks better than the Classics version, I still feel the harness needs to be red to help it pop more from his body. I also know his weapons are sometimes depicted as red, which I like more than the jet black. Perhaps if we ever get a weapons pack, they can include those in red for him.

These are great figures. I'm very impressed with Clawful. I hope Whiplash turns out as good. I didn't know much about Anti-Eternia He-Man but he is cool and I'm glad I got him.
