Had an old Sony Bluetooth trasmitter (BM10) laying around so i figures why not install it in to my trucks stereo(gm pn 16240065).

Here is module that you can get off ebay if you do not have old Bluethooth transmitter:

I keep asking myself how i want a new radio but not one of those ridiculous colorful ones, and i find this, with the same radio i have in my blazer! Hah!

You didn't had to use boost converter to step down voltage to 5V. Most IC-s actually work with 5VDC so you could probably find 5V source somewhere on the main board. However your solution is way simpler.

I did it hard way on my old JVC stereo (not a car stereo) and it took me hours with pokimg around powered on unit with DMM to find reliable 5V source.

Question can you just cut a aux cable and attach right and left channel and then connect it to a Bluetooth adapter? Will it work??
