Jared Heyman, founder of CrowdMed, discusses how his sister's experience with a rare disease inspired him to start a company that could harness the wisdom of crowds to better diagnosis and treat disease. His sister was eventually diagnosed with fragile X associated primary ovarian insufficiency and made a full recovery.

As much as Carley, Jared, and the entire family have encountered a most unfortunate experience, I am glad he was able to use the experience and create a much-needed resource for all undiagnosed patients.
