Development, Development, and Development. This is all Nashville needs to worry about. Don't try and push for a WC spot. If trades come up for McDonagh, O'Reilly, Nyquist, Schenn, and/or Barrie, take them and get some youth or picks out of it. If they look like they can make the playoffs naturally, don't buy just for a chance to advance to the 2nd round.

was a big fan of a lot of their moves and love giving the young guys a chance, mentorship blah blah with oreilly as corny as that sounds. in that division they could be top 3 honestly but that’s kind of a high expectation. didn’t miss the playoffs by a lot despite injuries and have a better team now than they did for a lot of last year. novak and glass are legit btw

Luke Schenn I wish was still wearing a Leaf jersey, he is a great physical defenseman who will not only bounce and bruise the opponent but protect the younger players not physically meant to scrap.Some Tampa players were trying successfully to intimidate and Schenn made it clear they had to go thrugh him.He is an Excellent two way player with the guts to put the bully to the ice as well.I liked him in his early years but really liked him in his most recent stint, he is definitely your gain !

Let's be honest. They are in a difficult situation because David Poile have a lot of mistakes. He worked hard it's true but since the final in 2017, he hasn't won a single exchange at all since 2018. He signed the wrong players (duchene, turris, johansen). they cost 22M and none of them were a number center. Without forgetting the exchange of the 3 all star D subban, ellis and ekholm. If they don't make the playoffs, you have no player on that team to blame.
