Lard is good for eating but now to get on your feet or wings.. there need to be a place for them to sit or hand like a cage..

i dont have access to Lard, is there a substitute? also will it melt at 40C

Edit: Have updated my comment based on NHM's comment, best not to use meat fat. But please still don't' put it down the drain :)
