Got a medium light, fast action yesterday and set it up with a Shimano spinning reel and its my new bass finesse rod. Im not a finesse guy so by finesse, I mean soft plastics with no weights and smaller baits for days where fish are finicky. Like the feel, it launches light stuff very well (7 footer), and I love love LOVE the way it all looks! The finish on this rod is absolutely beautiful with that dark look, but in light it's like a royal blue shine with almost a wood grain looking finish! Just a gorgeous rod, especially for the price!

I bought one today and used it this evening and I am very impressed. Its so light and well balanced, and the action is perfect for jigging and jerk baits.

Hello ! I have the st. croix triumph 6’6” medium fast action 1- pc spinning rod. What size spinning reel you recommend me to purchase to go on that spinning rod that I have please. I will be casting from the bank for crappies and bluegill and bass . I will be using Charlie Brewer’s sliders 1-1/2” grubs and some 1/4oz and 1/8oz rooster tails and some bonehead tackle 1.75” slim sticks baits.
