My heart sank when they opened up the door. They should’ve had someone inside the truck to make sure that it wouldn’t fall over. They used to do that but they didn’t this time.

My heart goes out to the guys who were trying to calm him down because they could see how upset he was about the cake was destroyed, but HE was just panicking about how much heart and soul he put into the cake he and his team put into the cake and they were just trying to calm him down and letting him know that they appreciated the effort he put in, u know?

I think what happened was a domino effect of mixed structures for a large mass: 70lbs wooden boards, plus a probably 140lbs+ cake tent, on top of 4 metal rods and a lot of wooden dowl rods. If they kept the 8 outer metal rods like in concept, and probably 4 interior metal rods for extra stability, the cake wouldn't have fallen.

I respect the guys who were trying to calm him and let him know that it’s not that bad or big of a deal, and they could actually see him being upset about the cake being destroyed but, there was nothing for him to do about it, so they were trying to get him to calm him down and let him know it wasn’t a big deal, and I respect them for doing it.

Of course it fell. I don’t have an engeniering degree but, basic knowlege…the top was way too heavy. Should’ve be assembled on location !!
