Monitor Repair (HP 24ES and probably many others). EASY

PC Monitor Buttons were not working properly; display flickered on/off when it should be sleeping.

Lots of posts about similar problems with HP displays, not worth hounding retailers of manufacturer... especially when you have lived with the issue way past warranty.

thank you jh that was helpful. I had difficulty to unpin the button ribbons from the socket, I accidentaly broke one side of the screen's socket but it is ok. I dont needd buttons. annoying menu is lost. but what was the problem? is it ribbons? is it buttons ?I cound not figured out either.
