If celebrities or influencers aren't well educated on politics, i wish they'd just say hey get out there get informed and vote. Then just leave it at that.
I personally hate it when they push their half arsed opinions on their audience.

I like how they have done it on Good Mythical Morning, they've been keen to encourage people to vote and given reference to websites that can help voters be informed without promoting any politician or political party. I personally would like to see a ban on celebs/influencers publicly endorsing politicians or political parties.

I see few people "telling" people how to vote. I've seen people sharing how THEY think and how THEY will vote, and a viewer can take from that what they want. Or not.

I hate the attitude people have that the job someone has should limit their ability to express their opinions, beliefs and values. Celebrities, influencers and anyone in the public eye are just people with the same rights as anyone else. They don’t belong to their audience and they aren’t obligated to make them feel comfortable or like they exist in a vacuum where the very real, very important things happening in the world don’t effect them too. If you meet me in normal life I won’t hesitate to discuss my beliefs and who I plan to vote for and if I had a wider platform I wouldn’t hesitate to say the same things there. To expect celebrities to shut up and entertain us is treating them like dancing monkeys and it’s messed up. That said of course influencers have to be willing to lose some of their followers for it and they have to make the decision themselves if it’s worth it or not. And of course I wish they would all educate themselves first. But at the end of the day I think this world needs more people willing to put an emphasis on real issues not less.

I think they should BECAUSE imo, I support these people with my views and possibly my money. I don't want to support someone that is actively voting for things specifically not in my favor or not in people I care about's favor or voting for things that would literally hurt me and people I care about.
