You two are amazing personalities and artists. I love that you're grateful for each other, not in competition with each other. It's such a GIFT for your viewers. LOVE YOU GUYS! Thanks!

Thank you so much to Steve and Marty for having me on this series. I'm so humbled by being able to sit down and just chat to two important members of our watercolor community. I had a wonderful time and hope to see all you guys around YouTube soon!

Thank you all so much for your channels! I am a homeschooling mother of 7. I went to The Cleveland Institute of Art for one year but I thought having children zapped my creativity 😟. I started getting back into art about 10 years ago by doing nature journals with my children. A friend turned me on to Steve's videos. Now that my children are older, I look forward to having more time for art 😎. You are all inspiring.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was when Steve said you have to finish a painting that you've messed up because it frees you to take risks. It sure did that for me because part of my style seems to be to make an early and serious mistake. Most of my ultimate successes are those pieces thanks to Steve.

I love both Steve and Denise’s channels. You both have cost me a lot of money in paint dollars😃 I will start watching Marty’s too. Don’t stop, I love your videos.

Denise, Im proud of you!! It's hard not knowing what each day will bring. You're taking positive approach. Being creative, helping others, gratitude list, and knowing God has special plan has been best approach. You're doing that!! People can't see pain, many illnesses & can't understand

Kudos to Steve and Marty for supporting Denise in every way and to Denise for all that she does with her disabilities. I checked out Denise’s channel and her content is amazing and unique. She is such a professional and will do well in her new endeavours. All three of you have great content and great hearts. Please keep up what you are doing. God bless.

Hi Steve, I wanted to leave a comment for all of you. I enjoyed this clip so much. I also checked out a video of Marty's -about pencils, lol. I found myself laughing at and with Marty. I found it kind of freeing to laugh about pencils and the act of sketching. I use to draw a lot as a kid and find myself very hesitant to draw now. I think this clip touched on the way a person thinks can cause a hinderance. Over a year ago, I jumped right into You Tube to learn to sketch and quickly jumped to watercolor. I found you and saw your skills which led to viewing many videos. I think for me I restrict myself to things I really like which is also a hindrance. I think the idea is learning to succeed through a willingness to fail. Anyway, I was unable to leave a message for Marty, thanks for the laugh Marty about "pencils". Maybe I need to fall in love with pencils too.

Steve, you have really impressed me! I bet I will love ur first videos. I'm a late bloomer & just found Youtube art this summer. Marty & Denise were about first two I subscribed. Both r great. I'm in small town with no art association or teachers. I read books to learn. Thank you guys!! Books info. came alive plus huge learning curve! I began painting on shirts to deal with chronic pain at 23 with 3 back surgeries. 25 diagnosed with fibro. I taught until this year. I was only support for mother & myself. Finally, autoimmune got into endocrine system, I had to retire. But, I'm 59. I LOVE ART & ARTISTS. Great job

Thank you so much for sharing with us this very deep and interesting conversation between all of you very talented artists and teachers. I am deeply moved and feel encouraged to move on with my own life and art life. Unfortunately you send this life chat middle in the night (at least in Germany 😉). Go on with your great work! Thanks a lot!

I’m sad I missed this live - I love watching all 3 of you!
I too am a spoonie that turned to watercolor because I can no longer do the things I used to. I got a rare muscle autoimmune disease and then cancer and pulmonary hypertension from that. It really is very debilitating and I very much can understand and relate to everything you talk about Denise.
I’m a beginner painter and have just signed up to take a watercolor class from urban sketcher Liz Steel. I tried to paint like you Steve but I cannot! 😂 You are amazing!! So, I’m going to try to just learn all I can and try to develop my own style. (I need a lot of improvement).
And Marty - I live in southwest Wyoming in those beautiful badlands you’re talking about. We went to Yellowstone in June and I aspired to paint there but realize I need to take some classes and learn a lot.
And I want you all to know that now that you talked about Wet Paint in Minnesota, I’m already planning a trip to go there! It may take a year or two but I would love it!
Thank you for such a fun video!! 👍

I found this chat really very interesting. I wish I had been able to see it live but it was the middle of the night here. I wish all three of you my very best wishes and look forward to seeing more content from you all.

Thank you for having Denise on here live. Although I missed the actual live event. I really appreciate her and adore her. I appreciate her speaking about fibromyalgia. In my mid 30's I was told I've had it all my life but back in the early days there was no name for it and one was usually dismissed by Dr's. I was diagnose at age 19 with cervical stenosis (born with it) which is a condition in which the spinal canal is too small for the spinal cord and nerve roots. That coupled with the accident I was in at age 20, triggered the fibromyalgia. I never heard of the spooning thing. But I do appreciate learning this. I really appreciate you, Steve and Marty.

I enjoyed your live chat the next morning. I love Denise's channel and well all 3 of ya's. I also am a 'spoonie' and art has been a far better use of my time at home. Denise's 101 on primary and secondary mixes is A great including her paintings. I appreciate each individual's different approach and wish I could patron all. The community near where I live has a monthly artist display at no cost. They actively sponsor their locals which is great because there are so many that are even house bound but can contribute in their very unique way. Thanks again for the chat and sorry I missed the live version, been very ill these last 3-4 weeks. Oh, and the positivity is awesome. There are some you tube artists that I have seen that maybe should not take such a huge task at one sitting because they are in obvious discomfort and it unfortunatly comes out distastful. Painting is enjoyable at least for myself first and if someone else likes it then great. Greetings to the 3 of you and thanks again.

This is great! Thanks for introducing us to Denise. I can't rely on YT to introduce me to videos I actually want to so Im thankful there's a growing watercolor community that helps cross promote others!
