The Divided Economy of Cyprus

Cyprus has faced a lot in it’s 9000 year history, with the most notable events being the occupation of the Ottomans and the British. This video looks into the life of the Cypriots during the occupation, the aftermath and where the economy stands today as a result.

We will be exploring in detail what life was like under Ottoman and British rule, and how these events led to the split of the country.

Additionally, we will also look at the current economy of Cyprus and how that’s fairing when compared to it’s turbulent history.

Lastly, we will look at some challenges that Cyprus currently faces and what it's doing to face these.
