After 3 hours I managed to edit microSTATION's user preset list to create my gig set. It was a real pain in the ass. Seems like easiest way to do it is following:

0) Open microSTATION editor.
1) Backup everything.
2) Copy desired programs to same numbered combi slot (first you should initialize it).
3) Re-route effects to make them work.
4) Write combi to rename it (you have to use enter!).
5) Save single combi to computer.
6) With genuine combis you want to save you have to change instrument category to "USER" (otherwise you cannot change slot number).
7) Save them also to your computer.
8) Reload your backup (because you have overwritten some combi slots).
9) Go to a blank user slot and load combi sounds from your computer.
10) Rename combis with enter.

After 10 sounds you may want to reward yourself with a bottle of cold beer

I bought mine a month ago. I'm still learning my way around it. I bought it to replace ageing keyboards and drum machine with something smaller and to have a really good digital synth engine. I agree about the mini keys, but you can easily plug a full sized keyboard if you want to. I've skipped using the panel control and use the editor instead. It's a superb piece of kit and excellent value. Cubase patch file available from my website - see profile.

@Eritsasaku Key size is a big difference. Also, the PS60's top panel controls make it easier to create splits/layers, and modify EQ/effects on the fly, which make it very effective on stage. If you're primarily in the studio, you'll find the microSTATION's 16 simultaneous parts (vs. the PS60's 6-parts) useful while working with a DAW. PS60 will offer a more examples of stage-ready sounds like acoustic/electric pianos and organs, while the microSTATION has a wider overall variety of sound types.

I own a microKEY. I absolutely love it. My hands are tiny. I do not have to stretchem apart so much to reach keys I need to. The keys are light to touch giving me more control without growing Tarzan Muscles there. Thank you Korg!

This Korg Microstation helps me a lot in creating sound programs:-) very much like it's multi timbral function. Take note guys i sold my Roland keyboards/Yamaha MM6 just for this keyboards because those two can only produce maximum of 4 sounds unlike KoRg Microstation it can create 16 sounds for a single set of sounds. GOOD JOB KORG.:-)

@elsalvi430 Yes, the included editor software runs as an AU plug-in within Logic.

Hello,
Can you chain patterns together to create a song ? Ex. pattern 1 intro, pattern 2 verse, pattern 3 chorus, etc.

@KorgUSAVideos Look forward to it.

Suggestions.

1. Navigation of menus.
2. Assign argeggio to channel
3. Recording, editing and looping.
4. Using grid sequence
5. Assigning effects
6. Creating and saving user voices and arpeggios
7. External control set up for Cubase

This is just scratching the surface.

OK, I know I should read the manual and I have read bits of it, yet a demonstration by someone who really understands the functionality can make everything clear in an instant.

I've had mine for over a year now. I'm thinking most people feel like a doosh getting one. The salesman at my music store sez they're underrated sonically yet difficult to program and that's why they keep popping up for resale. Mine was 300 and something. Um ... I'd be interested to know if it's possible to use the real-time value knobs on my Kontak 5 software. 'Can't seem to find out.

question, hopefully you can answer this. is there a way so that when playing live, i can change from one preset quickly to another one without having to go searching through my microstation for them?

do you need an audio interface for it to connect to the computer? or just a USB cable?

Is there anyway to switch octave and to control volume of layers?

A small update on the USB-driver thing. They have now updated the driver, after 10 months, 3 of which without a working driver. And the new driver, DOESNT resolve the problem! So even in spite of said update, we're still WAITING for a WORKING USB-driver!
I am absolutely in awe over a company thinking they can ignore supporting a basic feature of the things they sell. And meanwhile happily advertise said feature in the gear though it doesnt work...

@MarctheDarc Interesting, I don't have any issues with MIDI driver for XP SP3 or WIN7 Pro, what doesn't work for you? Sorry I don't have MAC so can't comment.
Thanks

Hi,
im a 14y teen, whos been playing harp for 8 years, bass for 1 year, and want to start to play keys.
i have no idea what to buy, and looking for +- 250 euros/300 dollars
i still need to learn the technique, so is this a good one to start with?
i want to use my keys in a band, like secondary for bass as primary, and use is for intro's and stuff.
What should i get?
Could anyone please help me with choosing something that is good to learn on (not to small keys) but useful live.

Thanks!

@shabbee OSX-users are worst hit atm, any new system updated for the past 3.5 months wont work at all. Korg used to have a warning on their site mind you.
Older OSX systems should be unaffected. Windows systems come back with very varied results, like you say, yours works. Other people have isolated issues. I tested with my uncles XP (where it used to work) after mine stopped working, it didnt on his either. Then he did a minor unrelated update and now it works again.
But there is a problem!
