CryEngine3 Tutorial 21-Create a Rain

CryEngine 3 Sandbox Tutorial 21.
This is a tutorial about creating a Rain effect in Crysis2 Editor.

-Create a Rain
-Change rain settings
-Add AmbientVolume(sound for rain)
-Add AreaSphere for AmbientVolume
-Link AreaSphere and AmbientVolume(connect)

My PC:

why does the textures in crysis 2 editor suck? do you know how to import some textures, because my map doesnt look good, crysis 1 maps looks way better, and i have used the best textures :(

quick question, Can you attach the rain to a player start, like you did with the audio to the area. So that the rain follows the player around the map?

no how do you make it to where upon entering a building/structure. the rain goes away, but then exiting the structure the rain re-appears. and entering and exiting the buildings that doesn't have a loading screen?

in my sounds area i have only a couple of options... your list is monsterous compared to mine. why?

create a flow graph, pseudocode:

if timer = enabled then rain is enabled
If timer value = 5min or more then rain = disabled

Your probably using a geom entity, use the same object but from the brush library, set RainOccluder to true and click reload

@SecretMisery that's a graphical problem! update your graphic drivers! and if that doesn't work maybe your computer can't run it!

not sure weather you will be replying as its from years back but im trying to create rain in cryengine 5 and its just glitching out not even splashing either no matter the amount i put it just doesn't collide with my terrain

When I run into the rain, the down part of my screen turns black. Is that happening because of the graphing card of my computer?
