god i tried using super chunky yarn and an absurdly large plastic hook like this and i couldn’t even take half an hour of trying to pull stiff yarn through tight stitches with a crappy grippy hook and ended up not only throwing the yarn away, the ufo and the hook as well after it sat in my closet for a year and a half
