CDC on Lyme Disease: 2004-2015

You may recall that public hearings on Lyme disease were conducted in Connecticut in 2004. Patient advocates, doctors and public health officials testified on the many problems associated with the epidemic of Lyme disease. Ironically, attorney general Blumenthal coordinated these hearings, but he’s now joined other senators in trying to over-regulate (some would say squash) newer and superior Lyme diagnostic companies.

In short, the CDC position changed to an already questionable position on Lyme disease testing -- to one that is morally reprehensible. Indefensible. Unscientific.

The purpose of publishing this video is to show how officials’ PUBLIC positions on Lyme disease have changed. It’s also to show the CDC’s blatant failures in protecting human beings in North America and other countries as well.

I've heard about a new ultraviolet machine called the UVLRx that's being used for Lyme patients. It uses a fiber optic thread which is inserted directly into the vein and the treatment lasts for an hour, so all the blood is treated. Has anyone tried this?

1:26 isn't RA almost always bacterially caused?
And... While it's bad enough that surveillance criteria are misapplied to diagnosis, I don't understand how missing 50 percent of cases serves a surveillance purpose either.
