Working with AI Enabled Smart Machines
Показать описание
In a webinar held on 25 August 2021, SMU Professor Emeritus Steven Miller talked about how AI can and should be embraced. Organized by SMU’s Business Partnerships team, the thought leadership session brought together industry partners, faculty, and students to delve into the issue of ‘Working with AI-Enabled Smart Machines’. Drawing from a set of 30 case studies of how employees and executives are now doing their everyday work with smart machines, Professor Miller’s talk provided insights on AI-enabled business transformations.
A note from Professor Miller:
If you believe AI will take over your job? Think again!
Did you notice the AI-generated subtitles of this video? Sometimes they are correct. Sometimes not so. We purposely left them “as is” and you can see for yourself that human editing is required.
This is a good example that AI systems can help with tedious tasks such as transcribing a video soundtrack into written text. At the same time, the AI system cannot do this error-free, and it needs a human to look it over and make revisions where necessary.
