Web Event - EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler: Policies behind environmental progress | LIVE STREAM

Показать описание
Fifty years after President Richard Nixon signed the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) into existence, Republican and Democratic administrations have taken divergent paths from a common starting point on environmental regulation. The Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act give Washington powerful tools to protect the environment, but are those tools vulnerable to capture by advocates looking to advance ideological ends? How should Americans think about the administrative state’s proper role in environmental policy and conservation? Which approach lends itself to better environmental and public health outcomes?
Please join AEI Resident Scholar Adam White for a conversation with EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler on the agency’s record of enforcement of the Clean Air and Water Acts and the prospects for reestablishing a proper role for the administrative state in environmental policy.
