Speaking as a Brit, why does nobody ever check if the entries can sing live? It doesn't matter how good it sounds in the studio if it can't be reproduced on stage.

I'm not a follower of the Eurovision anyway but last year's entry was great and this year's sounded really good on the radio. Shame it doesn't sound anywhere near as good on the live version.

Idk who's fault that is, her vocals arent the strongest, but the audio mix is not working in the favour of this song AT ALL. Sounds empty and messyin the ending

Whoever’s in change of the music and vocal level and mix (sorry don’t know the technical term) has stitched her right up!
Like others have said the performance and her character on stage is good yet her voice was berried under the music itself.

Brit here: other comments are being too polite. Some urgent vocal improvement is needed here before Saturday, so we don't end up in another James Newman situation. Mae's a great performer, a fantastic artist... vocals are where the attention needs to be now.

This has nothing on last years entry … Sam Ryder could actually hit notes and his voice actually has some umph not to mention his song was uplifting. I’ll be surprised if we don’t come last this year - signer can’t hold a pitch and the song is nothing special
