How can I get the serial number? In Xamarin.Forms we had Plugin.DeviceInfo. What is the equivalent in MAUI?

Fetching android contacts method hasn't been changed from Xamarin Essentials. It is still using a bad approach with very bad performance. Should be using loaders instead. I remember I opened an issue back in the day and nobody wanted to address it because the API was locked but what about maui essentials?
