Hi Alex, this will be a long comment but hopefully it will help your subscribers. I was pickpocketed at the airport just before midday on 7th April despite being aware after watching your informative videos. Here's how they did it:-
I have a secret zipped section on my handbag witch sits against my back and had a very small wallet which tucked right in. I had to access my wallet to buy a bus ticket. I had to insert my card and put in my PIN, I then tucked my wallet back in safely.
I did not use my phone (thankfully) as I had printed paper directions.
The bus stop was extremely crowded with people milling around the ticket machine trying to figure it out.
The bus was leaving at 12.50 and was ready for boarding at 12.40. A big guy that had been hovering around got in the queue in front of me and was about to board the bus. He stopped abruptly and someone went into me behind and that was the moment because at that time as I'd just picked up my case to board, my bag had swung slightly. As soon as I was on the bus I saw the pocket open, but of course the guy had gone. I called my husband who cancelled the card within 15mins. I am now back home sorting everything out and the bank have given me some times. Within 10mins of being on the bus they had withdrawn 300 Euros. I couldn't understand how until I remembered I'd used my PIN at the ticket machine, so I had been watched the whole time.

I couldn't get off the bus as I had no money to buy another ticket, so got to the hotel. I reported the theft to my insurance company who told me to get a police report. Despite there being a local police station in Arenal it was closed so I had to go to Palma police station. The queues were long and it took all afternoon. There are no toilets and just a vending machine, so not a pleasant experience at all. There was also a sign that said if you are reporting a stolen phone you need the IMEI number (on the purchase invoice or packaging of the phone - who knew?).

The police were very nice but I suspect they won't be able to do anything and i just hope my insurance will refund the stolen cash. (they're closed at the moment.

Please tell your lovely holiday making subscribers, to not get their wallet or phone out of their bags at the bus station. The fare is 5 euros for everyone and the bus driver will take cash so get that handy whilst still on the plane, or the machine will take notes into a slot.

I am a carer and this was supposed to be four days respite for me, but instead it has caused so much extra problems and worry, which I am now having to work through to resolve. PLEASE PLEASE everyone watch the video about pickpockets and take it very seriously so you don't have your holiday ruined and thank you Alex for your informative videos.

Yes, I never visit Majorca in high season, and I’ve only been to Palma once, but as I don’t do trawling around shops I jumped on the hop on/ hop off bus, sitting very cheaply and comfortably on the upper deck ( driver even gave me a free sunhat) with a running commentary in several language s via EarPods, saw everything right up to the old castle and monastery ..and had my dinner in Santa Ponsa, close to the marina instead with my Spanish friends .

In Puerto Pollensa at the moment. Palma airport last Thursday was a breeze - no delays at the border.
We used the local bus to Alcudia……it was full and standing both ways, not helped by a driver who went at breakneck speed and then hit the brakes at the last moment to the point of being dangerous.
We’ve booked an organised excursion tomorrow to Valdamossa and Soller rather than face the crowds of Palma and the train to Soller.

If the Majorcans didn't want the cruise ships why build the facilities to accommodate them ?, it seems to me the locals want the money but not the tourists, talk about having your cake and eating it . Most countries suffer from a shortage of affordable housing, we're going to Palma nova in September and we're looking forward to it

Im sorry Alex i love your videos but does most of these ships only stay for the day or there going home after finishing their cruise surely it can't be any worse than how busy it is in the height of the summer
