Doing clear, when just using motorcycle as a vehicle and not a toy, I find myself needing to ride (and optionally not carry a 2nd shield with me) at morning, night, day, sunset, dawn, etc.

And clear works for that.

There use to be a shield on the market that electrically dimmed. Is that still available on the market?

I use two shields, a clear and a dark. When using the dark I usually bring the clear with me.

Will have to try, tried the tinted visors and took it off after a couple of weeks as was just too dark for the mornings to work, great in the afternoon though, also struggle to see the road conditions with some visors, (wet or dry?) So like the drop down visor the most with a clear visor however this would be a great option if your helmet doesn't have a drop down visor (which I was specifically looking for when buying my shark)

Drop down shade with clear visor is the most practical. No need to carry a second shield. It does tend to add some bulk and weight to the helmet tho, especially modular ones. The chromatic is a cool idea, but how long does it take to transition? Sometimes on a back road that has some really shady spots, I find myself putting the drop down shade up and down to adjust for the change in lighting. This makes it easier to spot animals, debris etc. Something to think about.

I ride with a dark smoke reflective gold shield. Works awesome day or night.
