Mulla Be Kind - Nauiyu Community

Mulla be Kind was written and recorded on the last day of Term 3 2020 at Saint Francis Xavier College in Nauiyu. The video was shot that evening and the following day. Students at the school had been doing projects on kindness as part of the NAPCAN Acts of Kindness Challenge and we decided to incorporate some of the discussions that students had been having into a song. It draws on the concept of filling our emotional bucket with positive thoughts and actions and also how negative emotions and the actions of others can empty our buckets. The song talks about the importance of kindness and some strategies young people can use to stay strong emotionally, keep positive within themselves and also be there for others.
