MMD Motorcycle Tour of Spain - Ep 3

This episode sees us ride north to the coast and hopefully some sunnier weather in the little port of Ribadeo. We then track east to the town of Oviedo, he capital of Asturias, it’s known for its medieval old town, the site of the Gothic Oviedo Cathedral with its 9th-century Holy Chamber. From there we head south again to the beautiful city of Leon with the oldest Gothic cathedral in Spain, on the way we ride some beautiful windy mountain roads and take is amazing scenery. With the mandatory cerveza, sangria and tapas interludes! Great video as usual.I, m just back in Ireland after spending a month touring Spain and Portugal on my Vstrom 650XT. Started and finished in Bilbao.First thing I did when I got there was to set my gps to avoid, motorways and tolls, It took me through some amazing places...I hope to head back again in 2022, its one of the of the advantages of being 65years old, family all flown the nest and being retired....

Hello again. It's funny that you always show the rooms, it's very good information. In Spain, four-star hotels are very high quality. As information, say that for bikers with less budget, three-star hotels and even two stars are good for overnight. I like your videos ...(from Spain)

Nice to see places we stayed at again . Ribadeo & Leon. You even walked pass the table we sat at in Leon apposite the cathedral. We stay in Paradors when can in Spain. These are government run hotels in mostly old historic buildings. Great rooms & food. Interesting when you ride over the mountains from Cantabria province to Leon y Castillo province the road surface change from very good to sometimes very poor. I think the best time to travel in Spain is September or May. Then it gets a bit hot.

Enjoying the vids. I come across you guys by chance now a subscriber. I was hoping to get my partner to do her test to do trips like this. Finally got her to be pillion when I had my tiger 800 she flew out and met me in Austria and we took a route to Venice. Now have a baby so will wait 18 years lol. I'm 31 so got a few years to convince my partner to do her test. Keep the vids up. Thanks.

Santiago de Compostela is close to where Gesto comes from....his family home is in Galicia, a little town called Barcia. We have a fondness for this area as it's beautiful.
