I bought this esc and motor combo after seeing this video. It works perfect.. just a lot louter than the original combo. The performance is outstanding.

Fitting the body again involves some cutting into the interior but can be done without any visual changes once ensembled.

I had the cut the back of the motorcompartment where the battery is and a piece of the dashboard.

I unfortunately now think I need about 50 of these to convert my collection of MN and wpls 😅

My friend I bought and installed this fantastic combo, but I have to correct you on one thing.
The installation is not really plug&play as you say.
Important to say that you need to install the spacer that is present between the gearbox and the original motor when you detach them, otherwise the sprocket touches against the gearbox when you close it (and you didn't say this in your video).
But the main problem is the space for the ESC and receiver (whether it is from the MN88k or the DumboRC model X6DF).
Once everything is mounted, it is a problem to close the body on the chassis.
I had to make some pretty extreme modifications from which there is no going back unfortunately, trimming the underside of the interior and still not enough.
This you should have told us man.
Anyway, the engine is great (especially at this price, about 25 Euro).
Unfortunately if you add the metal gearbox the engine gets a bit noisy at high rpm, but still better than the annoying electronic noise of the original engine.
I recommend adding lots of grease inside the gearbox.
Low speed control is very good and it keeps the same speed very well even when it encounters obstacles, it does not slow down.
This means it has very good power and a lot of torque.
In the end I recommend it but you have to solve the problem of space under the body to put the ESC and the new receiver.
I have to check if it is also possible to use this motor under the WPL C24, that would be great.

Next time, if you can, please show us all the steps of the assembly and let us know of any problems encountered (such as the space problem for the ESC and receiver).

For better torque gain on the MN82, what do you recommend, this kit in the video or a 370 motor and brushed ESC? Another curiosity, does a brushless motor use less battery? Sorry for the questions, I'm new to this hobby and I'm curious. Your videos are great.

Great video, looking at this setup for my mn82 but it didnt seem straight forward, you really ironed things out and i so badly want my toyota to creep like that, raised my suspension a fair bit and now it binds while turning and its very frustrating! Thanks

You can adjust the AM32 settings, give it a little boost in sine mode power by 1 or 2, also increase range of sine mode throttle, stock is 0-10% throttle, you can go to 25%
