I have this DVD and number 17, e4 repertoire. Maybe time to dust off the King’s Gambit, alongside Greco Gambit ! Had some very nice games/wins with it due to vol 27 😀👍

I used to like playing the King's Gambit. However, I found that even moderate club players had learnt to spoil the fun to a large extent with lines based on 2...d5. A typical line being 1.e4 e5; 2.f4 d5; 3.exd5 exf4; 4.Nf3 Nf6; 5.Bc4 Nxd5 where, if black is careful, I found it hard to prove an advantage.
