I love my certates too. As for washing them after using in the salt, I tighten up my drags then rinse with a garden hose on mist / spray setting (no high pressure) then back the drags right off & stand them to dry. Works for me.

My LT2500 has been smashed the past 12 months. Big snaps and kingies. Going for first service soon. No issues.

Got a Certate SW 6000 and 10000, no issues from saltwater use, smooth as. Both are noisy however. Heaps noisier than my Twinpower SW and Stradic SW. Doesn't effect performance though.

Where was that one bearing? The roller bearing? That would be because you dont hose it. A simple spray and wipe isn't going to get off all the crystallised salts. Been hosing for years with the not quite misty but not too much deluge on the garden gun and my reels run like the day they were bought. Preventative maintenance works wonders, letting it get clapped out and sending it for a full service just after one year is pretty lazy to me. But then again I go fishing at least once a week on land and at the very least once a month on the boat so they don't see as much action as others so 🤷.

One of them is overspoolled, the other one-underspooled lol
Great reel this, get the 2 bearings upgrade kit and you have a better, albeit slightly heavier Exist.

Where can i buy this spray? Usually I wash my reel gently after tightening the drag and spool lowest as possible but sometimes i have no time for that right after fishing session (like before going work) so this spray for sure better than nothing :)
