I had a NCconvertible for a couple years and now have a 997 911 convertible. There is something to be said about being able to drive all out, revving the engine to redline without going to jail. That being said, the NC needs more power, but its is a great car. At some point I will have another MX5, likely a ND. When these go electric they will be road legal go-carts.

I think a 6 speed nc has better gearing than the 5 if im not mistaken.

Is this the small engine? Nice driving, but I still think the car suffers a bit from the long gearing. The 6 speed version feels way more agile.

I am a tall guy that has the steering wheel covering the cluster so having as much info in the window is important to me.

Does anyone know what oil temps an NC2 get up to after a heat like this? I’ve been comfortable with the idea of tracking my 10” NC without an oil temp gauge installed.
