This video shows how easy it is to prepare a normal cheap canvas so that it is ready for a resin pour. Using this method eliminates the risk of your canvas having ridges and dips. My how to prepare a canvas for a resin pour video to prevent ridges and dips is easy to follow and works every time, as you can see from the quick pour I do towards the end of the video. I also show how you can simply create cells in resin on a canvas.

Although I often talk about health and safety in my videos, please make sure you do your own research and take the relevant precautions to ensure that you are protecting your health. I am not responsible for anyone using resin and not taking the correct safety precautions. Resin is a chemical and as such should be always treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken.

I had terrible trouble on a large acrylic pour. Wasted tons of paint and the canvas [I thought] because of major pooling, until I saw this video. You have inspired me to give it another try. THANKS so very much!

after watching this I felt stupid I didn't think of it myself. It's obvious. I was considering laying a thin layer on the back and letting it cure before working on the other side, this is much more cost effective, I think. Thanks!

Brilliant you solved all of my problems. I’m going to be doing a resin pour on a 24x30 oil painting on canvas. I was nervous but I think that this process will be perfect for even that size. I may add extra canvas support beams, and I will most likely use gesso on the back rather than water because it’s already painted. But the foam board will be perfect!!!

Hi Steve, that's a beautiful outcome to your project! I am so thankful for your patience. You are a great teacher. I have Never worked with resin before and wanted to find out how it works. What a blessing to have your video fall into my lap? Wow! Thank you also, for the extra tip on the spraying of the canvas and added foam for firmness. That's awesome! I feel like I just hit gold. Thanks again. Blessings to you!
