Is gravity the acceleration we feel due to us being in uniform circular motion?

Why does ∆v point towards the centre as ∆t tends to zero? In such a situation, is the base of ∆v at the tail of vector v for this to happen?

Thank you! If uniform circular motion is acceleration, how come then we cannot sence velocity when spinning at 1000mph at the equator? We even do eliptical motions around the sun at neatly 67, 000mph. Would not an eliptical motion while spinning increase our ability to sence or "feel" motion?
