Royal Air Force aircraft from the Cold War period were deep cleaned at RAF Museum Cosford, but it’s not an easy task as they are suspended more than 100ft in the air.

The specialist cleaning team polished off years’ worth of dust just in time for the museum’s reopening.

We were there to see how they did it.

I used to work as the gas engineer for MITIE on Cosford. It was amazing walking around before opening having time and quiet to look at these engineering works of art.

If it's difficult to clean dust off once a year then do it more often.
