As per the sound - it goes to show that there is a right and wrong way to do this. I remember when ICE cars had sound pumped into the cabin to hear more "engine noise" and everyone hated it. But when does with intention and not a gimick, it works beautifully

I finally got this car in Portimao-blue mat, 20 inch performance wheel and tires and loving it.

As someone works for BMW and Tesla M3P owner, I have to disagree this car beats Tesla. The exterior BMW just recycle the 4 Series meaning you lost the frunk space the back it has the exhaust cut out but blocked off. The interior back seat still has the hump in the middle, why, it’s a EV car? The front seat has confusing dash looks high tech but Tesla already stated it goes simplicity aka clean look. Performances wise i4M50 has almost 100 more hp but still slower than M3P. Lastly price as you stated BMW is higher price.

Only thing I like i4 is the HUD and 360 camera which Tesla refused to do.

Much lower range + lack of supercharger access already makes it a no-go for me over my model 3 lr.

I was waiting for a 4 door, 4WD, hatchback, EV with properly fast charging, with more than 500km range with an interior that does not squeak every time i do something with it. M50 ordered. If only the delivery time wasn't 12 months.... still 6 months to go...

Thanks for the presentation. If I were on the market for an EV in the class I would take the I4, probably the 40 for longer range, in a heart beat. Great looking car inside and out with solid tech. The only design "fault" is the grill but that's something I could live with.

Just checked with BMW dealer in Vancouver and they have a waiting list over 2 years for i4 M50.

Not one metric you described makes this a Performance 3 Killer. Sad truth is the 2018 Model 3 performance is better in every single way and it was released 5 years ago. I commend BMW for trying but they are far away from reaching even a 5 year old car. Looks and interior are subjective. I’m sure the interior feel/quality of the BMW is better but I’m willing to bet the actual performance, handling, software and automated driving on the Tesla are still far superior and for someone who owns a Plaid S, you undoubtedly know this…

Got one on order, so I certianly do like the car. But still find it funny how "really responsive" is defined in car tech.
4:33 "Which is really responsive...", clicks menu, and waits roughly 2 seconds for it to respond 😅

Model 3 still > everything in it's class and beyond.The weight alone is a Mega downside for the beemer.This beemer will melt pricy tires beeing 1000lbs more than a M3X and the fact that recent test from Bjørn Nylan explain very well why the wow first impression of this beauty fade away pretty quickly when you have to travel with the car.
