I love these guys. And the characters made the weekly pattern great--mystery illness, seemingly right diagnosis and treatment, then turns out wrong and worse, then unlikely right answer.

This leaves out the context of what CIPA is… the girl’s lived her whole life without being able to feel pain. On the one hand you might think that’s a good thing… but imagine you fall down the stairs. You never feel pain so you assume nothing is wrong but it turns out you’ve broken a rib and punctured your lung. You have no way of knowing. She had to check her eyes every morning to make sure they weren’t scratched, etc. at one point her and House compare hardships. It’s actually pretty funny.

CIPA is a rare but real life condition that leaves the sufferer unable to feel pain, temperature and the inability to sweat. In this patients case her high fever was from a tapeworm infection in her intestines to put it very simply.

Hugh Laurie always cracks me up. And it's so funny to see him play an American.
His skits with Stephen Fry were great. He was awesome in Black Adder and Wooster and Jeeves.
What always struck me is how Brits always pitch their voices lower to do an American accent. That's not his true voice.

I almost got a spinal tap for a sudden acute breathing difficulty. Didn’t end up doing it. 4 years later; I should have Don it then because it keeps coming back and nobody can diagnose it :(

Twice with my kid I felt like I was in a episode of the tv show ‘House’… once when she was born… I took her back to the hospital she was a failure to thrive baby… a bit later diagnosed

They need to bring House back because, I'm not sure if anyone watched the show so *spoiler alert* he fakes his death.... He'd be a great character to bring back and I'm sure they could put a spin on it like the government knows he's not dead and they need his help for something so they erase his "death" and make it like he never died. Just an idea... 💡😁👍
