Ben Hogan was a stack and tilt golfer before many people watching this were even born! Great video.

This is the best golf instruction on the planet. I have struggled with the traditional swing for so many years especially the inconsistency and body aches and strains. With S&T you have finally given me permission to be intuitive and natural.

You have just explained the difference between the conventional golf swing and stack and tilt perfectly and will give it a try, it looks so much more relaxed and consistent then the conventional golf swing.

Nick, I’m 63 and have played as a conventional golfer for 40 years . Tried every tip under the sun to try and improve. Have had “ eureka “ moments but never really improved . Shoot around 100 and have always struggled with the low point of my swing - usually behind the ball . Consistency of power has always been an issue . I thought this was my lot in life as a golfer . I came across your stack and tilt method and having nothing to lose I thought I’d give it a go . Practice swings definitely gave a low point in front of the starting point . I then starting hitting balls with a 9 iron but initially I was hitting them thin . However the increase in power was instant and they took off like scud missiles . I then remembered 3 more tips in your video . Shoulders forward at address, spine slightly curved at address, chin tucked in at address and left shoulder down in backswing, left arm across chest at top of backswing ( no lifting of arms like I used to do with the conventional swing ).
OMG !!!! The improvement was instantaneous . My best shot with a 9 iron with a conventional swing would be pulled about 20 degrees and go about 100 metres . I just came back using stack and tilt with my 9 iron and I was consistently hitting them 120 metres straight and with plenty of height .
Effortless power, felt so sweet . I guess I was compressing the ball correctly which I have never done before . I always felt like I muscled the strike with not much timing. I’ve never felt more excited about more practice now with stack and tilt with my other clubs . I wish I had tried this method earlier in my life, like when I was 25 . I’m still reasonably flexible and strong and intend to enjoy the game for a long time to come . Thanks so much for your videos and I intend to post my experience with my other clubs using stack and tilt.
Keep up the good work .
Not keeping the right leg flexed in the backswing is so good . I can rotate my hips easily. It makes the backswing a delight .

Nick, this is a very good video to send to those who think they know stack and tilt but have no idea the difference between the two swings, good overview.

I think I have incorporated a lot of the stack and tilt parts "by accident", but they are functional.. so good to know that it does not help chasing after what a swing/posture should look like

Been doing convential swing for last 4 years, started stack and tilt for one week now and i've improved so much. Conventional swing is meant to keep you coming back to the golf teacher for lessons $$$

Wow !!! Best video yet; nailed it. Lots of illogical components (eg, weight shift back), too many moving parts (eg, wrist release) in the conventional swing. Go S & T !!!

Great comparison of the conventional vs stack-and-tilt golf swing. Thank you.

I am just doing my first research on Stack-and-Tilt principles and even though I like the principles, it really doesnt feel to much different to what you learn everywhere else. Your comparison does not really feel fair because on the conventional side you seemingly do things wrong intentionally while a lot of the facets of stack-and-tilt also belong to what I would consider a conventional swing type. I am not judging at all and I am sure, that for a lot of people, some of the very technical approaches to golf and learning it seems fairly wrong and difficult but as soon as start to understand the basics, you see that there is no magic bullet.

Just my 2 cent, I like that there are people that your tips help with their golf game, which is the most important metric.

Excellent comparison from S&T Vs. Traditional swing! With stack and tilt, i really notice that my lower back doesn't hurt as much after a bucket of balls at the range. Very simple and repeatable swing which helps in solid contact and power every time! Great video Nick!

Started playing golf at age 12 using the conventional method. Was very inconsistent and could shoot in the 70s or 80s or 90s depending on timing. Now at age 70, I’m switching to stack and tilt and hope to have many more good games well into my older age. Thank you Nick! Great video!

I am a brand new senior golfer that is just now trying to learn how to play. I am just finding out about this style of swing this week and I am already liking it much better, it just makes more sense when you think about body mechanics.

This is great instruction on the S&T swing...I have the book but this explains things in a visual way that makes it easy to get the concept. Watched dozens of your videos, then went out to the backyard net and gave this a go, could not believe how flush I was striking the ball! Absolutely correct in that you can hit the low point of the swing arc much more consistently. I've struggled with thin and fat shots forever. Tomorrow I will take this to the course and give it the acid test. The swing feels very easy to repeat, fewer moving parts, and much easier on the old back and body. Thanks Nick. I thought my swing was horrible and not correct. But someone came over to me on Sunday and told me I have a great swing, it’s called “stack and tilt” go search it. This video has made me believe my swing is good and not weird. Thanks!

The conventional golf swing is amazing for peak performance- unfortunately most of us aren’t well oiled machines... this is easier for me

Well said . I realize my natural/original swing is S&T . I used to always get good contact, even without being a great player. The last few years ive completely wasted trying to get a conventional swing, watching video after video and nothing ever feeling natural. Misses were different every time i played. Yesterday i went back to my natural way of swinging (S&T) and its the most pure ive hit the ball in years… no coincidence

Good stuff Nick, I started with S&T when i first started playing and found it easy to learn as it cut a lot variables out of the swing for me . However, as I got the golf bug and started playing more I took a few traditional swing lessons and I have messed my swing up. Every instructor was like "why is your weight 60% forward at address" .. I ended up listening to them and now my iron play is all over the place. I find that I am now flipping at the bottom of the swing and I am hitting thin shots and I have lost 10-15 yards per iron. Good video as this helped me realize why. I am coming back home to S&T .. thanks!
