They say that truth is stranger than fiction. Well, sometimes truth and fiction are the same thing. In the new film, "This Is 40," writer and director Judd Apatow imagines the veteran British musician Graham Parker getting back together with his band, The Rumour. As it turns out, that reunion was already in the works --- even before the director came knocking.

Today, Graham Parker and the Rumour discuss their real life (and on screen) comeback. Plus, the band plays live -- including this performance of the song "Soul Shoes" from the group's very first album, 1976's "Howlin' Wind."

Surely an outtake from Exile on Main Street. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better Stones tribute .

Really hard time in which Graham came out. Not punk and not old. Graham was himself along the journey,

The best kept secret in the west. PLease put Graham in the Hall of Shame before he dies. Also the Smiths, Todd Rundgren, And The (incredible) Replacements. Rescind Joan Jett while you're at it.
