Halo Cut Content & Levels That Were Too Ambitious For The Time

Sometimes Halo concepts are so ambitious that they run into issues when programming them into the games. And sometimes they become cut Halo levels because of that reason.

I wish the cut halo 3 missions made it in. To be honest halo 3 felt short. You also forgot that either on the mission Cortana or floodgate there was supposed to be a boss fight where you would fight the grave mind in a scarab.

My biggest gripe with H3: Cortana level, aside from the fact except from where you retrieve Cortona, none of it looks like the H2 levels Gravemind and High Charity, is that High Charity crashes on the Ark and is laying on it's side, yet the entire level is nearly entirely upright.

I think the lack of splitscreen is at least 60% responsible for making Halo 5 unpopular in my friend group. We almost never play it and it's automatically excluded if we ever decide to have a gaming get-together, which is really unfortunate because Halo 5 has such great forge and custom games.

Lmao, can you just imagine trying to do halo 2 on legendary in under 3 hours and have another level added

The Halo 2 warthog run would have been a good way to end the campaign I wish they got it to work

I'm honestly upset that they never remastered Halo 3, I feel like a remaster where they finally include the cut levels and all sorts of crazy cut content would be amazing

I remember trying to play splitscreen on halo 5 with my cousin a few yrs ago. When I found out 343 took out splitscreen I had never been more pissed off over a video game.

I always wanted to play the Halo 2 E3 level. It looked gucking cool and the fact that the SMGs had red flares when shot, instead of the classic yellow orange, made them look way cooler.

Interesting thing about the level Cortana; it actually had a cruiser bridge jammed into it halfway through; its where you find that skull and the hidden Cortana terminal. It’s the exact same bridge module as the Shadow of Intent

I would have liked to see the gravemid level and covenant ship.

I wish there was the Forerunner city in Halo 3. I don't think it ruins the mystery, I believe it makes the forerunners even more mysterious. You are inside one of their cities, yet you still don't get any answers as to how they lived, who they were, and what they did.

It would have been super cool, looking at the concept art.

Honestly, the nonsensical bridge on the Pillar of Atumn would have actually been pretty epic if they had modeled it as if the ship had been ripped in half. Instead of a functional bridge, you'd be driving across on some broken piece of debris, and all the innards and rooms would have been visible as a cross-section.

Propably couldn't have been done in the old CE engine, but that would have been cool.

8:10 This is one of the reasons I love the old Halo games, the feeling of being alien on another world that had its inhabitants wiped out thousands of years prior and not knowing what they looked like but having hints towards them being ancient humans was epic. that sense of mystery is completely ruined by 343i though and their games suffer greatly for it...
