In September 2016, I took the leap of faith into making music full time. At that point I had only the money in my bank account to get me through and I didn't know if I would make it. But I had to take the step - I knew that music was what I wanted to do more than anything else. And to do it, I had to be bold. I took a huge risk to do what I love full time and this music expresses that sentiment.

When I asked my patrons if they wanted to hear a new Nightwish cover, a new Two Steps From Hell cover or a new original piece of music by me, they chose an original piece! I am absolutely HONOURED that my patrons chose this as it means they have faith in me to support an original creation - something completely new. So I had to make something as outstanding as possible - some epic piano music. I went for an inspirational music sound - something that makes you feel like you could take on the world, like you could do anything.

I took influence from the two artists I focus on for my piano covers on this channel - Nightwish and Two Steps From Hell. You'll hear more of Two Steps From Hell in this one, though, as it's styled like a trailer music track. That sound of epic music - I had to go with that amazing sound. Those sub booms, whooshes, and the big sound. And there might be a surprise in there somewhere too, just you wait!

This video is me returning to what I originally created this channel for - my original music compositions! My original username was Composer1992 (which is still my URL!).

So I hope you enjoy this inspirational music styled track. It's a first for me, writing epic music like you hear in movie trailers, but with my own flavour which focuses on piano.

Slightly reminiscent of TSFH, but when you were saying that you were already composing your own stuff, I didn't even dare to hope for something like this. I want a cover with a full orchestra of this song :( The melody is catchy, gripping and optimistic, it's well-built in terms of structure and it works brilliantly with the piano (even though it sounds like it's meant for an orchestra). The percussion has some room for improvement sound-wise, but for a first, it's simply amazingly done.

I noticed myself at about 1:30 having been smiling already for some time. And that smile stayed and deepened through the piece. It even survived the decreasing tension in the end. I think the use of additional sounds besides the piano is exactly right here.

The first 30 seconds are simply great. That tune is really nice. After that there are some standout moments like the middle phase and the ending though I feel the whole piece to be a little repetitive. i guess it's because of the lack of orchestration. I feel like the greatest parts are those where the piano would dominate even in the orchestrated version.
Would be glad to hear it in it's full glory! ;)

WoW that right hand arpeggios is so nice man <3 (1:46) with the melody continuing in left hand ^^! Your videos inspires me so much.. and guess what...i'm back on theory practicing on scales and arpeggios. I finally did it and learned all the 24 basic scales (major/minor)
+ the 24 arpeggios for the first time in about 15 years of practicing in just 2 months. Now I really have a goal to improve. I encourage you to continue your videos. Nice composition!

Listened to both this and the orchestral version multiple times today, I think this version is my favourite. It's got all the spirit, but isn't as busy, so it sounds cleaner, if that makes sense.
