Eyebrows are crucial parts of reading facial expressions in real life (or the brow ridge, for people who don't have as visible of brows), so I find it fascinating all the substitutions cartoons find for eyebrows.

Thanks for pointing out how using the upper eyelids is a simple but effective solution for these character designs. (I imagine it was tricky to animate while clearly communicating the desired emotions at times, though, with this scene probably being one of those times.)
