The point is it preaches war and hate regardless on how you want to twist it. And I used the original translation.

Nick, the point you don't want to understand is the verses are connected to each other. I couldn't find verse 9.121 but you should check previous verses and next verses too. They are all coherent to each other. AND Quran is written in Arabic, not in English. You need to check different translations. You also need to know why & when this surah was given, that is why you need to read interpretation of Quran not only the translation.

"Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors." Surah 2.190 (from Sahih International)

Still you ignore the previous and next verses.
And for example surah 48:29 is for Prophet and his followers at that time, not today. Again surah 9:73 is for Prophet himself not to me or not to you....

And again I can't find any encouraging statements for suicide bombing in Surah 3:156.

Did it say only fight those who fight against you? No it saids MAKE WAR.
