In this video I will show you how I layer multiple glazes on pottery and combine it with oxide washes to create really interesting and unique coloring of pottery.

I will show you different techniques: Pouring glazes, adding glaze with brushes, spray glazing and finger dipping.

I will be glazing some small bowls and big bowls, a bamboo vase and a few fermenting crocks.

THIS VIDEO is a full and a bit long version - with all the pots and details about how I plan and execute each step. Watch this if you are interested in learning.

If you are only interested in some of it there is an index below, so you can jump to specific sections.

See also my first video on multi-layer glazing:

And the vide about how I made the bamboo vase:

And how you can re-glaze pottery to get some of the same effects:

It's a luxury to sit at the computer and learn from others successful hard work. I learned a lot from you today and I thank you for that. I wish you make a video on the subject of making " slips " especially for the " Naked Raku technique "

Beautiful results!
Am a novice and have learned so much from you. The temmoku rim, the use of oxides over the glazes, your use of earthy, satiny glazes. And sharing your “failures” is just as illuminating! Thank you!

Showing your not-so-great's with possible explanations as to why they didn't meet your expectations is very useful information.
From my point of view the bamboo vase is perfect. That one alone gives me a glaze direction to pursue.
And I would be happy with the fermentation jar you sprayed just as it is.
Thanks for making the effort to show us all of this.
