The most obvious sign is that Adam entered the Bitcoin scene 3 years later, claiming to be a noob, yet couldn't help bragging and illustrate that he had knowledge about the protocol design and Satoshi's coins that no one else seemed to have noticed. Add to that he became the CEO of Blockstream which really makes him the CEO of Bitcoin, while arriving so late to the community. That would never have happened if it wasn't because the people in the know know.

Lex seemed taken aback in his assertions. I think because it didn't play into the mysticism of Satoshi's identity and just used deductive logic to narrow down the answer to the most obvious results. I feel like Satoshi's identity is one of those "no one knows" but "everyone who matters knows" situations. Similar to the question "Who killed Tupac?"

And he's the CEO of Blockstream, meanwhile bitcoin was meant to be a peer to peer and cut the middle man. Meanwhile 99% of transaction are happening through exchanges.

I still think it was Hal Finney and possibly Nick Szabo and maybe a couple of others sharing the persona. Then once Finney died everyone kind of just let it go.
