The Cherry Barbs originate from the Kelani to Nilwala basins of Sri Lanka, in Asia.
The Cherry Barbs are also called as Red Cherry Barbs.
The mature male Cherry Barbs get brighter than the females.
The Cherry Barbs are a hardy fish and are most suitable for beginner aquarists.
The Cherry Barbs are torpedo shaped with a single black and a silver stripe that runs from the tip of its mouth to the tail.
The Cherry Barbs can grow up to 2 inches in size.
The Cherry Barbs can live up to 4 to 5 years in proper care.
