i’m an 18 year old just out of highschool about to turn 19. i don’t really have a 100% idea of what I wanna do but the trades have always been in my mind I just didn’t know what I wanted to do but I’ve been looking into carpentry a lot lately I just don’t know a lot. but I know it’s a good trade to get into and a good career to be successful in. i’m also a dad of one year and I am super eager to find a career to fall in love with and be able to have a steady income to support my daughter. is there any tips on how to start and where to start? and do I need to know a lot about it before I go into trade school?

Can I start this when I'm 31? I think I may be good at this and enjoy it but I'm worried I may be too old. I've worked a bit with a saw a bit but mostly just dismantling a porch. I feel like it would be more rewarding to put stuff together and make money building a useful skill.
